The Perfect Storm - Part II

It's the weather, stupid! That's why about 50% of the folks who would have visited the Annapolis Power Boat Show this year stayed home. Two major low pressure systems lingering over the east gave us four days of classic Nor'easter - winds 20-30, temps in the low to mid 40s, and inches and inches of rain. With about 4 hours left in the show Sunday, the skies finally dried and brightened to the relief of everyone.

Didn't stop Team Selene, though. As with many other participants in the show, we discovered that those hearty enough to visit were able to spend unrushed time aboard, engage in interesting and informative conversations, and move through the exhibits and boats without the usual long lines and crowded quarters.

Eventually, many discovered that on Peaceful Too, the 53' Selene Trawler we presented in the show, the heat was working great. Andrea even occasionally took soaked gloves and socks from those boarded and ran them through the dryer. (I think we could have charged admission!)

So, if you'd like to have some quiet time aboard a boat you're dreaming of at a show, pray for rain. Meanwhile, our Fall pre-configured packages for each of the Selene models - 38' to 66' - remain available for just another couple of weeks. For more information, Contact Us.
