Received today from an owner we were glad to help, just because he's a member of the Selene family: We were out cruising in the Florida keys last week, which are new cruising grounds for us. I started the generator under load, and lost any ability to transfer power from the generator to the 110 v system. Out came the schematics,but , despite my best abilities, I was unable to diagnose the problem. The generator was working well, and I was flipping this and that hoping for an easy fix, but, no luck. I called Selene Annapolis, and asked to speak with someone smart. John Dennison took the call. ( We had just seen John at the Lauderdale show. John was associated with Ted Hood and Portsmouth Marine, and had actually commissioned our boat several years ago. He's now with Selene Annapolis.) John gave us a differential diagnosis, and his consultation predicted the treatment, which was replacement of the main ac/dc breaker. Once done, healthy again. A public thank you, John.
