The Selene 45 is an entirely new Next Generation Selene. She is the smallest model of the popular and proven Selene Pilothouse Trawler line. Announced in mid-2009, first shipments will be in early 2010. Designed and built like her sisters - a serious passagemaker, and a superlative coastwise and inland cruiser.

Unlike her predecessor, the galley on the Selene 45 is offset to starboard providing a more spacious and accommodating salon. The pilothouse settee is L-shaped and also offset to starboard. There is room for a small helm chair in the pilothouse as a result.

The Selene 45 is a "Next Generation" evolution of the very popular Selene 48 model. It features the new "deep hull" design with its Cruiser Stern™, nearly a foot increase in engine room headroom to 66", and the proven, standard Cummins QSB 5.9 230 h.p. engine. This extra height allows for expansion of the fuel tanks - a total of 200 more gallons! Yet, the tanks are a bit narrower yielding even more space in the engine room. All this is done without increasing the draft. LOA is half a foot longer than the first generation Selene 43. On the interior, that translates to an 6" increase in the salon.

The delivered and commissioned base price of a new Selene 45 is in the range of $593,250. Most owners select options both from the factory (such as air conditioning, inverter, spurs, davit, etc.) and in the aftermarket during commissioning (such as electronics, lines and ground tackle, dink, etc.) that can add another 10% - 15% to the total cost.
