The Selene 60 is the original next-generation Selene. In response to customer demand, Howard Chen designed a new hull form featuring significant improvements in efficiency and space. Tank tests document this hull with its Cruiser Stern™ is 7%-8% more efficient than comparable hulls without that feature. Engine headroom is a full 6’4”.

The settee molded in to the cockpit creates a gracious space for relaxation under way or at the dock. The European transom with inset swim platform puts the Selene 59 into the mini mega yacht class. An optional FRP hardtop enhances both the functionality and profile of this graceful yacht. A solid and massive watertight door offers entry to the stand-up lazarette. A full-width utility room for laundry, electrical components, and work area separates the engine room from the master stateroom. Main deck options include galley-up or galley-down arrangements. An expansive and functional F/B layout has been incorporated to include a U-shaped sofa with a bureau for BBQ, sink and a smaller refrigerator. A gracious stairway from the cockpit to the flybridge provide convenience and safety. As in every Selene, inside access to the flybridge is provided from the pilothouse.

The yacht has an LOA of 65’ and displaces 123,000 lbs. Built to Lloyd's Category A standards and powered by an efficient John Deere 526 hp M4 engine, or optional twins including full skeg protection, the Selene 60 has the range, strength, and stability to cross oceans. With a draft of 5'8" (5’4” with twins) it is also at home in thin tropical waters or gunkholing rivers and creeks.

Over 25 of this initial Next Generation Selene have been delivered worldwide, including one currently circumnavigating.

The delivered and commissioned base price of a new Selene 60 is in the range of $1,387,200. Most owners select options both from the factory (such as air conditioning, inverter, spurs, stabilizers, davit, etc.) and in the aftermarket during commissioning (such as electronics, lines and ground tackle, dink, etc.) that can add another 10% - 15% to the total cost.
