Selene 53 Ocean Express

It never fails that some of the visitors we meet at a TrawlerFest, a boat show, or even via our website fall in love with the grace, beauty, design, features, and quality of the Selene, but want better performance than a traditional displacement trawler.

Listening to the market is a hallmark of Jet Tern's Howard Chen, and this time the response is stunning.

The Selene 53 Ocean Express is an entirely new offering. It is the marriage of a proven high performance hull licensed by Jet Tern, and the proven layout and accommodations of the Selene 48.

Cruising speeds in the 15 knot range and a top of 20 distinguish the new Ocean Express from her sister ships. So, too, does an amazing list of standard features that are usually options.

Some of the standard equipment includes Twin Cummins QSL9.0 405hp engines, Bow Thruster, Air Conditioning, Inverter, Fire Boy, Hydraulic Davit, FRP Hardtop integral with the radar arch, spiral stairs from cockpit to boat deck, Kahlenberg horn, trash compactor, icemaker, washer/dryer, Sub-Zero galley refrigerator, microwave, and many more.

The standard twin screws are each protected by its own molded skeg and shoe. Draft is about 5' making the Selene Ocean Express ideal for go anywhere cruising.

Two staterooms, ample pilothouse, a large cockpit, lazarette, and gracious flybridge are all in the tradition of Selene Pilothouse trawlers.

Selene Annapolis will be pleased to help you design the details of a Selene Ocean Express that is customized to your own particular needs. Orders being taken can be delivered in about 18 months. The base price delivered and commissioned on the East Coast is in the ballpark of $1.15M for the first four orders placed with Selene Annapolis.

If the Selene 50 meets your requirements, contact us to place a reservation and begin a design process that will produce all the details you will need to make a formal commitment.
