Jet Tern expands executive team

Jet-Tern Marine announced that Mickey Smith been appointed Vice President of Engineering. He will lead the Design and Engineering teams at the shipyards in Dongguan and Zhuhai and be responsible for all aspects of design and engineering systems for the Selene Ocean Trawlers, Artemis Motor Yachts, Apollo Catamarans and custom builds. Mr. Smith brings many years of yacht systems experience to the Jet-Tern shipyards.   

He is a member of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc., (IEEE). Mickey is also a member of ABYC (American Boat and Yacht Council) and is an instructor for ABYC's Marine Systems and Electrical Certification courses. His consulting firm, Boat Systems, Inc., has done electrical and systems consulting on boats ranging from 35 feet to 156 feet, including long range motor yachts, power catamarans, and boats with diesel-electric propulsion systems.
